Established in September of 2004 as the economic development office for the City of Kamloops, Venture Kamloops Business Development Society is governed by a seven-member board of directors funded predominately by the City of Kamloops.

Venture Kamloops fundamental purpose is to foster job creation by promoting Kamloops as the best location for new business investment in BC and Canada while retaining and expanding current business levels.
