Kamloops Business Corral

Venture Kamloops has an exciting new initiative underway, the Kamloops Business Corral, which provides promising Kamloops entrepreneurs access to a skilled and responsive business start-up advisory board.  This is an advisory group that has a collective expertise and experience that covers all facets of business start-up and exposure to/connections with a variety of key Kamloops sectors.

The meeting format is a Dragon's Den concept: a 1hr session, once a month, with one new business venture, held in City Hall.  After the pitch and a vigorous Q&A session, entrepreneurial feedback is further enhanced by way of a feedback sheet that Board members fill out over the course of the meeting, to be handed to the entrepreneurs as a takeaway at the end of the meeting.  Comments to date from both the Entrepreneurs and the board have been extremely positive.
