Whether you need funding, capital investment, mentorship, tax credits, expert advise or another resource to aid in your venture, spending time seeking out all of these things can be cumbersome. So, wouldn’t it be amazing to have something that can provide you an abundance of these resources, all within a few easy steps?
Innovation Canada offers this in the form of an online portal, where you can enter the all of the information on your business, your desired resources and some information on yourself to see what is potentially out there for your business. Here’s how it works.
Step 1: Go to the Innovation Canada Portal by clicking HERE.
Step 2: Enter the province you are operating your business, or planning on operating in, what services you need most and your main goals as a business. For example, you may need funding, loans, expert advice and collaboration with the goal of acquiring at least $100,000 in order to start a business, buy equipment and export products.
Step 3: Enter your company’s information. For example, you are a manufacturer of high quality, hand made wood furniture. You now enter your sector (manufacturing) as well as the specific type of manufacturing you’re participating in (furniture).
Step 4: Enter information about yourself as an entrepreneur. For example, if you are a 35-year-old woman with Canadian citizenship, you will qualify for more programs and opportunities. In this step, you will also enter the last few pieces of information on your business, like number of employees and your company structure.
Step 5: Click “See Your Matches” and boom, you are redirected to a page that has all of the resources available based on the story you have entered about your business.
And there you have it, a simple way to find what kind of resources are available for you and your business. We recommend adding as much information as possible about your business, and as many support types needed to get the most results that could pertain to your business.
