The North Shore area of Kamloops has taken another step in the direction of becoming a hub for technology and a place where culture, art and business can thrive alongside each other. ARPA investments has purchased the 1.5-acre parcel of land that the Kamloops Innovation Centre currently sits on, and in collaboration with KIC and the Kamloops North Shore Business Improvement Association, plans on making that aforementioned vision of a booming hub a reality.

This isn’t the first development from ARPA that is aimed at revitalizing the North Shore area of Kamloops. “The Station”, a commercial/residential building that is located right next to this new planned development is set to finish in the spring of 2019. Also, plans for “Spirit Square” gives another two new commercial/residential buildings in the area.

Plans for the newest North Shore development are not yet ready to be released, but what we do know is that the renderings include both residential and commercial components, including a music venue to blend both arts and culture and a space for an 80-90 room hotel. There is no doubt that these developments will create an economic boost for both the North Shore and the City of Kamloops as a whole.
