Entrepreneurship plays a critical role in Kamloops’ economic resilience and long-term growth. That’s why Venture Kamloops is proud to support The BIG Pitch 2026, returning on March 13 at the Kelson Hall Centre for Arts & Education.
The BIG Pitch is designed to support entrepreneurs at a pivotal stage—when ideas are forming, businesses are launching, and access to the right guidance and networks can shape long-term outcomes. More than a pitch competition, the event creates a space for founders to build confidence, receive constructive feedback, and connect with the local business ecosystem.
Participants will begin with a closed-door pitch to a panel of experienced business professionals, with five finalists advancing to a live pitch event. In addition to the $10,000 grand prize, entrepreneurs benefit from pitch preparation, public-speaking support, and exposure to mentors and service providers who can support their growth beyond the event.
Running alongside the competition is a Business Support Services Tradeshow, offering direct access to organizations that support financing, planning, workforce development, and business expansion across the region.
The BIG Pitch is open to entrepreneurs who:
- Have been operating for less than 24 months
- Have earned under $100,000 in revenue
- Are based in Kamloops or the surrounding communities
- Are in the ideation or early launch phase and planning for growth
Supporting entrepreneurs early strengthens our local economy later. Events like The BIG Pitch help ensure founders don’t build alone—and that Kamloops remains a place where ideas can turn into sustainable businesses.
Applications close March 9, 2026.
